Mission Up Close Live is a special opportunity to hear from some of our missionaries and their families, and pray for a world that knows Jesus.

In 2026, we will have a special focus on how God is working in Africa, and the event will be held on two nights in two Sydney locations. Please come along to one and invite your church!

Cost: $10 concession and $15 standard (includes a light supper)

Together we will learn from God’s word, pray for global mission, and consider the way God is working in Africa through CMS missionaries. Over supper, mingle with missionaries on home assignment and hear how God is at work to draw people to himself from every corner of the globe.

Mission Up Close Live will be packed full of ways to be encouraged and emboldened in your mission partnership, to see a world that knows Jesus.

(Simon and his wife Margie served as CMS missionaries in Namibia, and are returning to serve in Uganda in 2026).

We will also have the opportunity to hear from Ryan & Lynne Verghese (serving in Seychelles), Anthony & Trudi Elyard (serving in Ethiopia) and Mike & Katie Taylor (serving in Tanzania).

There will be time to pray and sing together, as well as an extended supper during which we can mingle with other CMS missionaries on home assignment.

Start and finish times

Staff will welcome attendees from 6pm. The program will commence at 6:30pm and finish by 9pm.

A simple supper of tea, coffee and cake will be provided. A small selection of gluten-free supper and alternate milks will be available.
