Speakers

Kanishka Raffel
Kanishka is the Anglican Archbishop of Sydney. Kanishka was born in London to Sri Lankan parents and was raised as a Buddhist. While studying law at Sydney University a friend gave him a copy of The Gospel according to John and he subsequently became a Christian. Prior to becoming Archbishop in 2021, Kanishka worked in churches in Sydney and Perth. He is married to Cailey and they have two daughters. Kanishka loves curry, cricket and having gelato at the beach with his family but knows no pleasure so great as sharing the news about Jesus with people who have no idea who Jesus is or how much he loves them.

Patrice Niveaux
Patrice currently serves as President of Perspectives Church Planting Network in France. Perspectives has been in existence for more than 50 years and was born from a merger between France-Mission and Vision France. Today, Perspectives has around 90 churches and church plants, and roughly 180 workers in the form of pastors, church planters, pastoral assistants, foreign missionaries and administrators.

Tamie Davis
Tamie is the Mobilisation Lead for CMS South Australia and Northern Territory. She has a PhD in missiology and has recently published her first book. She had the joy of serving with CMS in Tanzania from 2013 to 2023, along with her husband and two sons.
Program

Children & Youth

Come along and spend a day engaged in crossing-cultures and having fun with other kids and youth. At CMS, we believe that God loves people of all ages to get involved in His global mission. With great teaching, fun activities, and stories from missionaries – everyone who comes along will be encouraged in their faith and enriched in their understanding of God’s heart for the nations.

The Kids Conference and Youth Conference run alongside the main conference from 9am-5.30pm. There is a creche for 0-2yos and the kids programs are tailored for preschoolers through to year 6. The Youth Conference is for those in years 7-10. Year 11 and 12 students are invited to join the main sessions. Parents are welcome to register kids and youth for dinner and the evening session at no additional cost.
Meet our Children & Youth Coordinators

Kate Hamer
Kids Conference
“The Kids Conference is a great opportunity to help the youngest members of God’s family get excited about what He is doing around the world – and to see how they can be part of it even now.”

Luke Paton
Youth Conference
“CMS Youth Conference raises our gaze to God’s mission outside our regular frame. I can’t wait to see what God has in store to encourage our teenagers and help them find their place in something so big, yet so personal.”
