Why we chose mission

In prayer, God gave us a vision of Jesus walking among the people of South East Asia—chains falling from their hands and feet as God’s light pierced the darkness. People were being set free, healed, and transformed. That vision has never left us. It confirmed the truth of Scripture: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me… to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners” (Isaiah 61:1). Jesus truly came to bring light into darkness and to set the oppressed free (Luke 4:18–19).

We believe that Christ is building his church, and no spiritual power—not even the gates of hell—can stand against it (Matt. 16:18). Though the spiritual opposition in our location is intense, we stand firm in faith, trusting that Christ is calling many of the local people to himself.

Freedom from fear

When people encounter Jesus, fear gives way to freedom. They learn to pray to the living God from the heart, relationships are renewed by love, and they discover peace and assurance for eternity.

We will serve in a remote region of about 100,000 people, most of whom have never heard the gospel. As people hear and believe these stories, we pray they will share them with their families and neighbours, sparking a gospel movement that multiplies through relationships and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our ministry is simple yet intentional. In an oral-based culture, we share the message of Jesus through biblical storytelling, communicating God’s word in ways that touch the heart. Our focus is on building deep relationships where these stories can take root and bear fruit.
