We are excited to be joining university student ministry in Vanuatu. We’ve seen the benefits of student ministry here in Australia, working with the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students for 17 years. We’ve seen students come to faith, grow in their confidence in God’s Word, and their appreciation of God’s grace. We’ve seen students graduate and become leaders in their churches in and beyond Brisbane. During our time with AFES we met students from the Pacific and heard their stories; how Jesus is using a young student ministry to grow his church. We also heard of the need for older Christians to be working alongside these students, discipling and training them.

Students come from all over Vanuatu and the South Pacific to study in Port Vila (Vanuatu’s capital). Many of them have grown up in church, but university is a key time for them to grow a mature faith that is grounded on God’s Word and clear on his grace. Students who study in Port Vila head home across the islands of Vanuatu and across the Pacific. We will work alongside these students, reading the Bible and encouraging them to mature in Jesus. We hope to see them grow into leaders for God’s church all over Vanuatu and the Pacific.

We cannot do this work alone.  We need people to Pray, Care and Give so that we can Go.  Will you join our team as we go to Vanuatu to train leaders?
