We’re back!

Returning to Asia after four years in Australia of Covid-induced extended leave, we are in a season of rebuilding: rebuilding relationships, partnerships and roles: Previously T was part of a team that aims to end child abandonment in their region by partnering with locals to serve families with children in crisis, children with disabilities, and abandoned children – offering hope that can only be found in Jesus. D assisted in the management and leadership of their local organisation. But for now, the doors are closed to foreigners working in the orphanage. Please pray for re-opened doors and direction for where God would have us focus our efforts.

Our hope in the Gospel of adoption

Our heavenly father lovingly adopted us into His family. In response we take initiative with abandoned children, families feeling overwhelmed by the needs of children with disabilities, broken families and children in crisis. In so doing we demonstrate and communicate the hope and joy of being a child of God through faith in Jesus.

The relevance of a gracious God

The nation in which we serve has a complicated history of philosophical, cultural and political forces, which generally sideline any thoughts of an all powerful, eternal God as irrelevant.  Many locals don’t hold to any one belief strongly – rather engage in a mix of loosely held beliefs and superstitious practices, ‘just in case’.  The certainty of an eternal loving God who requires nothing of them but faith in Jesus is a huge relief.
