Why we chose mission

We are passionate about biblical theology and the PTC (MOCLAM) course. This course addresses the great need to mature and strengthen local Christian leaders in Spain, as it is a solid Bible course that is both achievable and flexible. As an international family, with relevant previous ministry experience, we feel suited and equipped to live in Spain despite the challenges that come with this task.

Equipping leaders, students and workers

We are teaching PTC (MOCLAM) courses to Spanish local church leaders, as well as Christian university students and workers (GBU). These leaders often lack the time or funds to go to a theological seminar or Bible school, yet they hold important ministry roles that shape the current and future church in Spain. Our hope is to teach and train Spanish Christian leaders and ground them in biblical theology. We want to enable local churches across Spain to grow in maturity, from our base in Valencia. We also offer a scholarship program to some GBU workers, that CMS helps to finance. This is a great tool to train Christian leaders in solid Bible teaching, while supporting their ministries.

As a family, we are also involved in various ministries within the small Anglican church of Valencia. We support the local pastor’s family through friendship and counsel, and share an office space with other local Christian missionaries and leaders.

Spiritually speaking, Spain is a hard country in which to serve, with centuries of Roman Catholic traditions and a strong secular movement. Both influences are far from the biblical teachings of grace and forgiveness found in Jesus. We need your partnership, through prayer and giving, to continue sharing God’s word and to sustain our family as we serve here for a world that knows Jesus.
