Why we chose mission

Our journey for a world that knows Jesus did not start as a married couple but as individuals whose lives were transformed by the good news of the gospel. Although we had both attended church since we were young, we did not receive Jesus into our lives until our mid-20s. Individually, God began to stir our hearts and open our eyes to the need for gospel workers in the Muslim world. Today, our union has only deepened our conviction and enriched our desire to reach the gospel poor with the very news that has saved us and continues to transform our lives.

왜 선교를 선택하게 되었는가?

온 세상이 예수님을 알게 되기를 바라는 우리의 여정은 부부로서가 아니라, 복음의 기쁜 소식으로 삶이 변화된 각 개인으로부터 시작되었습니다. 저희는 어릴 때부터 교회에 다녔지만, 예수님을 인격적으로 영접한 것은 20대 중반이 되어서였습니다. 그 이후 하나님께서는 각자의 마음을 움직이시고, 이슬람권에서 복음을 전할 일꾼들의 필요를 깨닫게 하셨습니다. 오늘날 저희의 결합은 이러한 확신을 더욱 깊게 하였고, 저희들을 구원에 이르게하고 지금도 저희들의 삶을 변화시키고 있는 복음을 아직 듣지 못한 이들에게 전하고자 하는 열망을 더욱 풍성하게 해주었습니다.

Encouraging, equipping, and walking alongside believers

We share life and faith in Eurasia through professional work and local church support. The churches are few, and most of the believers are the first to accept Jesus from their families. We desire to encourage, equip, and walk alongside them. We also engage in gospel work through building relationships with those around us. They are people from our workplaces, neighbourhoods, local clubs – wherever we are. Building a trusting relationship takes time, commitment and sincerity, making gospel work a slow process in Eurasia. Nonetheless, testimonies of new believers continue to surface as God moves in Eurasia.

성도들을 격려하고, 세우며, 함께 걸어가기

저희는 전문적인 일과 지역 교회 지원을 통해 유라시아에서 삶과 신앙을 나누고 있습니다. 교회는 많지 않으며, 대부분의 성도들은 가정에서 처음으로 예수님을 믿게 된 분들입니다. 저희는 그들을 격려하고, 세우며, 그들과 함께 동행하기를 소망합니다. 또한 주변 사람들과의 관계를 통해 복음 사역에 참여하고 있습니다. 이들은 우리의 직장 동료, 이웃, 지역 모임에서 만나는 사람들, 즉 저희가 머무는 모든 곳에서 만나는 이들입니다. 신뢰 관계를 쌓는 데에는 시간과 헌신, 그리고 진실함이 필요하기에, 유라시아에서의 복음 사역은 느리게 진행될 수밖에 없습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 하나님께서 유라시아 가운데 역사하심으로, 새로운 믿음의 고백들이 계속해서 나타나고 있습니다.
