Pray with M that her visits to link churches on Home Assignment will be encouraging and a good time of reconnecting. Pray with Anna Radkovic and the A Rocha Kenya team as they gear-up for a new year of making Jesus known by caring for his creation. Pray with Anthony & Trudi Elyard as they celebrate Ethiopian Christmas on 7 January–that they can share the meaning of true peace and build relationships through this time. Pray for their continued language learning, and give thanks for their improvement. Pray with Co-Mission Partners Anwar Berhe & Tsigereda Atankir for the Evangelical Theological College students as they return home during the break. Pray that the Lord may use them in their churches, families and communities. 

Pray with Malcolm & Ainsley Purdey that as they look ahead at 2025, God will give them wisdom to prepare well for a new year. Give thanks with Chris & Stef Overhall for the encouragements of NSW & ACT Summer School. Pray for safety, rest, and fun times with family and friends over holidays. Pray also for the kids as they start school in Australia in term one–for a good friend for each of them, and for confidence and trust in Jesus as they do something new. Give thanks with Adrian & Anita Lovell for Adrian’s opportunity to teach an intensive with ABUA in Argentina this month. Pray that it would be a good week of learning and growing in Christ. Pray with Co-Mission Partner (CoMP) Álex (and Karina) Córdova Morales for Alex’s work at the youth camp happening next month. Ask that the Lord will fill him with wisdom as he preaches to these young people. Pray also for a group marriage enrichment weekend they are running 14–16 February. Thank God with Pedro & Joy Oliveira Woolmer for five years in Montevideo with CMS! Pray for a restful and refreshing break as a family over the summer. Pray with Nick & Kysha Davies for the preaching workshop with churches without pastors in San Juan de Lurigancho. Pray with Co-Mission Partners (CoMPs) Bryan & Sarah Haro Leon for Bryan as prepares and teaches Old Testament II, and for Sarah’s connections with other mums to deepen. 

Give thanks with Matt & Ellen Tyler for their first seven months in Vanuatu. Pray for them and their colleagues as they have the SIL Vanuatu conference this month, and discuss some changes that have been made within SIL International and how these apply to them. Pray with Joel & Tiffanie Atwood for an encouraging time at Summer School. Pray for Keith & Marion Birchley as they settle back into Australia, move house, and prepare for deputation. Give thanks for a fulfilling time at the Queensland National Training Event. Praise God with Bill and Linda Colyer for their safe arrival in Port Vila a few days ago. Pray for them as they adjust to everything new. Give thanks with David Pettett for his students who work diligently to be well equipped for ministry. 

Pray with Ian & Jenny Wood for Nungalinya students to continue to grow and delight in the Lord. Pray with Derek & Rosemary Snibson for all the Northern Territory Indigenous brothers and sisters involved in the VIC SUTS Conference (16–18 January), that there will be growth in understanding, fruitfulness, and prayerfulness for those who attend. Pray with Simon & Claire Koefoed for continued trust and dependence on Jesus. Give thanks that Co-Mission Partners (CoMPs) James (& Miriam) Woods could share and encourage the fellowship at Summer School. Pray with CoMP Marlene Andrews and CoMP Mandy Manggurra for their home communities to know, love and serve the Lord. 

Pray with Chris & Karen Webb that Aboriginal Christians in Broome would not give up meeting together, despite the pressures and temptations of life that make regular church attendance difficult. Give thanks with Matt & Lisa Pearson for the ongoing translation checking of the Kunwinjku Psalms. May we sing heartfelt songs to our Father until Jesus returns. Pray with Josh & Steph Mackenzie for their children as they settle into a new school for the first half of 2025. Give thanks with Maggie Crewes for her safe arrival in the NT. Pray for good cultural learning during this time of orientation to urban pastoral ministry with Indigenous peoples in Darwin. Pray also for a safe drive back to Alice Springs at the end of January. Pray for Samuel & Bec Gorfine and Hudson as they prepare to leave for location in the next two weeks–for God’s comfort, peace and safety. Pray with Geoff & Hannah Harper that God would be glorified through the translation training courses at Nungalinya College. 

SAH: Pray for the team at St Andrew’s Hall as they get ready for a new semester, with 13 new trainees (with six children) preparing for long-term mission. Mentac: Give thanks for Mentac apprentices, and pray that they may grow in their eagerness to serve the Lord. Across Cultures: Pray that Across Cultures trainees will be equipped to build cross-cultural relationships. 

Pray with D & T that God would reveal himself to many, and that they may turn to him with repentance, joy and trust. Give thanks with L for the joy of gospel partnership. Pray with Lachlan & Candy Grice for patience, energy, gentleness, grace, and joy as they approach the birth of their second child, amid ongoing preparations to move to Taiwan. Pray with Sam & Shan-Shan Chrisp for the CEF National Bible Camp this month, on the book of Acts. Pray for students to grow in knowing how to read the Bible, and be edified by God’s Word. 

Give thanks with Kellie Nicholas for an encouraging time at Summer School, and pray that God will raise up more people to go to the nations. Pray for Elle Bryce as she continues to plug away at language school, which is coming to an end soon. Pray for stamina in her learning and exams, and for the next steps ahead as she prepares to join KGK in Kyoto. Pray with Chenny Thie that God will guide and help her to be more like Christ in all aspects of life this year. Give thanks with Dene & Rachel Hughes for a recent family trip to see their parents, brothers and sisters. Pray for their church as they continue to follow-up those who attended Christmas events. 

Pray with Matt & Bex Ooi as they prepare to gather with their SEND Japan co-workers for the annual Day of Prayer to intercede for global mission, ministry in Japan, and organisational concerns. Pray with Dave & Beck McIntyre for Mitchell in his final term of primary school, for Alyssa as she starts her final semester of high school, and for Natasha as she continues Year 8. Praise God with Steven & Sandra Parsons for providing new leaders to oversee the enhancement of ministry effectiveness, and allowing them to meet this month to discuss allocating responsibilities to relieve Steven’s load. Pray with Adam & Helane Ramsay for their kids to return to school smoothly and confidently after the winter break. Pray for good follow-up conversations with those who attended Christmas at their church. Pray with Nathan & Maki Clapham for fruit coming from Christmas and New Year events, and for the yearly planning for the church plant in Komoro. 

NSW & ACT: Give thanks for Summer School 2025. Pray that God would use it for his glory. 

QNNSW: Praise God for all those who attended Summer School at Mt Tamborine. Pray they will be encouraged and inspired about their role in global mission. 

SANT: Pray for a fruitful Summer Conference on 18 January. Pray that attendees would be filled with joy as they focus on God’s love for the nations, and how he is working around the world. 

TAS: Pray for the safe travel of State Director Scott Doran-Sargent today, after visiting Maurice & Amanda Jacobson in Cambodia. Pray also for Spur: Global Mission Conference commencing on 16 January. 

VIC: Pray for all things SUTS–for final preparations and smooth running of the conference for adults, kids and youth, and that attendees would walk away with passion for mission! 

WA: Pray that the ‘Common Ground’ micro-campaign would successfully raise $70,000 towards WA Home Assignments. 

Give thanks with Bruce & Libby Hayes for CMS Summer School and the opportunity to re-connect with many supporters. Pray for them as they start their final Home Assignment later this month. Pray with Co-Mission Partners (CoMPs) Jiwan & Binita for HOM Churches to be more inclusive and accepting of challenges. Pray with CoMPs Sam & Sharmila Budhathoki that God would use all they have learnt from their time in the UK to glorify himself, and edify the local church. Pray with CoMPs Ashish Christian & Karuna Sharma for good health as the family goes through different sicknesses. 

Pray with A for continued trust and dependence on the Lord. Give thanks with E for new opportunities to teach homeschooling families in her city. Pray for S & E and their children to develop their reading, hearing and speaking in the local language this new year. Pray with M & K as their son T begins attending a local school for the first time (for 90 minutes a day). Pray that he can make friends and understand his teachers. Pray also for their son S as he begins Class 2 this year. Pray for wisdom as M & K parent the boys in this context. Pray with K (& A) for good health for their daughter L, and their local brothers and sisters who also have young children in this season of heavy pollution. Pray that there will be some long-term solution to improve the air quality. 

Pray with R for her continued language learning, so that she can have deep conversations with people in their heart language. Pray that S & D with S would have good farewells with family and friends as they prepare to leave for location. Pray that J & S would rejoice always, pray continually and give thanks in all the circumstances of the year ahead (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). Pray with J & P for energy and wisdom in their work-life balance. Pray with D & S that God would pour out his mercies and grace upon their students, and grant them a desire to follow him. 

Pray with L for a relaxing and refreshing break. Pray with J that the Prince of Peace would intervene to bring about peace and justice in the region. Praise God with D & M for wonderful testimonies of how the school enables workers to serve long term in the region. Pray for those in the school community who are struggling with health or pastoral challenges. Pray with S & M for quality time with local friends as they hopefully reconnect after a time out of the country. Pray with Gavin & Megan Rosser for a rich time as their sons visit and they see each other for the first time in a year. Pray with M for the SANT Summer Encounter day conference, that it will ignite in some a desire to be sent to the gospel poor, and all will be overjoyed at the privilege of participating in global mission! 

Praise God with B for many encouragements during Home Assignment. Pray for meaningful conversations and opportunities to point to Jesus as she reconnects with and visits local friends, and for a smooth transition back to life in the Middle East. Pray with J for good conversations with believers that spur in them a desire to grow. Pray with W & S for the many refugees in their city who are facing the cold winter with limited resources. Thank God for the many ways their local church reaches out and serves them. Give thanks with C for her team and pray for refreshment as most of them take a holiday this month. Pray for them all in the transition, especially for M (moving out) and D (joining their team). Praise God with M for his gift of grace in marriage. Pray for M and L to communicate well and for a deep prayerful dependence on God, always. Give thanks with S & P for the way people in their group are encouraging and sacrificially loving one another. 

Pray with Morgan & Olivia for their church as they celebrate 15 years of God’s faithfulness in January, and in February undergo transition as their founding and lead pastor steps down, and a new pastor is appointed. Thank God with John & Deb for Christmas celebrations, and for a short break over Christmas with family. Pray with Craig & Lisse that their church would continue making Jesus known in a new venue. Thank God with Elizabeth for a mutually encouraging time on Home Assignment. Pray for a smooth translation back to location at the end of this month, and pray for preparations to be underway for a large event in early February. Pray with Ray & Sandy for wisdom as they steward the many new people who join them each week from all around the world. 

Thank God with David & Cathie Sandifer for a busy and productive term, and for the joy of celebrating Christmas at Tyndale Theological Seminary and their new church. Pray for refreshment, catching up, and good preparation for the coming term. Pray with Klaus & Jude Hickel that their church would focus their eyes on Christ this year and seek to live to his glory. Pray with Michael & Rani Grivas-Allison for God to enable practical preparations and student registrations in the lead-up to GBU Belgium’s annual conference (‘Herauts’) on 8 February. Pray with Co-Mission Partner (CoMP) Jotham Booker for God to keep growing his church in love and good deeds. Give thanks with CoMPs Léon & Oliva Le for a Muslim student who has agreed to read the Bible with Léon. Pray that the Lord will reveal himself to her, so that she may know his grace in Jesus. Thank God with Howard & Patricia Spencer for the two weeks over Christmas that they spent catching up with their family in Singapore, including their four grandsons. Pray for the second semester, and that students will continue Bible studies each week with GBU Groups. 

Pray with Simon & Jessica Cowell for their time at CMS NSW & ACT Summer School. Pray that they might share their ministry and themselves well, to encourage and equip the saints for works of ministry and build up the body of Christ. Pray with Jason & Hannah Fairclough as they travel and transition into Home Assignment–for energy, refreshment, love for family and church family, and that they would be an encouragement to others. Pray with Gillian Law that she will use her time wisely this month as students are busy with exams. Pray for her as she prepares for semester two. Pray with Co-Mission Partners (CoMPs) Bostjan & Lidija Cifer for two new workers at Zvesh—one who has recently started an apprenticeship, and another who is learning language and culture. Pray with CoMP Andrea (& Geanne) Becciolini for a fruitful time in Brazil with Geanne’s relatives, and for Andrea’s apprenticeship at a church there as part of his theological studies. Pray with CoMP Manuel Ardolino for his father, who is suffering from increasingly painful back problems, which may require surgery. Pray that God may reveal himself through this. 

Pray with Jim & Tanja French for their housing situation, which involves a significant rent increase and potentially a move. Pray for God’s good provision and timing. Give thanks with Miriam Bradshaw for the opportunities at Mision Urbana to be hospitable to migrants, including many who haven’t had much to do with Christianity. Pray for many seeds to be planted. Pray with Lauren Raiter as she rests from language classes over the holidays. Give thanks for the great opportunity to experience the Spanish traditions and culture in this time. Give thanks with Chris & Kristy Galea for the great privilege it is to partner in the gospel with supporters. 

Pray with Karina Brabham that Summer School will be an encouraging time. Ask God with Josh & Susannah Apieczonek for a good time of training and encouragement for GBU ministry apprentices on 21–22 January. Pray with Colin & Catherine Puffett for a blessed new year, with growth and assurance in the Lord. Pray for Emma Payne as she flies to France to begin language school. Pray for a smooth transition into life in France, for friendships at language school, and for her to continue to trust Jesus amid all the changes. Give thanks with Gillian Akers for church activities over Christmas and New Year, and pray that members of mid-week home groups will desire to meet under God’s Word. 

Pray that God will raise up new missionaries to serve in new and current CMS locations. Pray for J as she finishes her service with CMS after 30 years. Give thanks for her faithfulness, and God’s work through her in Central Asia, Africa, and South East Asia. 

Pray for CMS Australia’s International Director, Peter Sholl, and Regional Mission Directors as they look for and build relationships with CMS partners. Pray that these partnerships will help strengthen local gospel witness, and support Christian leaders serving in ministry. 

Give thanks with Daniel & Olivia Webster for the privilege of serving at the Namibian Evangelical Theological Seminary (NETS). Thank God with Kylie Zietsch for holidays with friends in Durban, and pray for refreshment over the break. Pray also that she will be disciplined in her counselling study, and that it will grow and equip her. Pray with Nathan & Diane Lovell that they will continue to depend on God’s goodness and sovereignty. Give thanks with Mike & Karen Roe for the Lord’s sustaining and unfailing love through their transition back to Australia, and Karen’s continuing pedagogy courses. Pray for their family as they continue to settle, and for mutually encouraging church visits. Pray that Co-Mission Partner Thulisile (& Thato) Mabe and their family will have a restful break as they celebrate the birth of Jesus. 

Pray with Brenton & Mel Kilby for continued conversation competency in Swahili, a wonderful Tanzanian Christmas, and a refreshing break at a conference in late December. Thank God with Mike & Katie Taylor for his good provision for them and their ministry this year. Pray for a good time with their son Harry as he visits over the next few weeks. Pray with Michael & Jean Burke to continue to grow in their love of God and others. Pray with David & Jenny Juniper for a refreshing break with family before they begin supporter visits on Home Assignment. 

Praise God with Andrew & Margaret Newman for Christmas celebrations this week as many return to their home villages. Pray for the NextGen Youth Bible Training Conference next month–that the Australian and Ugandan teams will combine well, and the teaching will be strategic for ministries in the North Kigezi Diocese. Praise God with Ryan & Lynne Verghese for a friend’s visit, and the opportunity to share Christmas together. Pray for their church members to know the beauty of the incarnation–that Jesus is God with us. Pray with Adam & Avril Friend for joy and rest during their first Christmas in Madagascar. Pray for Adam as he prepares to teach his first subject (in Malagasy) in a few weeks. 

Pray with M for the staff at her work to understand why Christians celebrate Christmas, and ask that the Spirit will soften their hearts. Praise God with Anna Radkovic for the chance to celebrate Jesus coming to the world with good friends. Pray for those on the coast of Kenya who don’t yet know how great Jesus is! Pray for Anthony & Trudi Elyard as they interact with those who have asked “Why do you love us?”, including their guard. Pray for visas, a restful break, and continued language learning. Pray with Co-Mission Partners Anwar Berhe & Tsigereda Atankir as Anwar travels to Alaba town this month to teach the ‘Understanding Islam’ course for Bible School students, preach at a church, and discuss reaching Muslims with the gospel with church leaders.

Pray for good preparation for Summer School, safe travels, and for a fun and refreshing time together while on annual leave in January. Pray with Co-Mission Partner (CoMP) Álex (and Karina) Córdova Morales for the Lord to comfort Alex after the recent passing of his beloved grandmother. Pray with CoMPs Andrés & Annika Ruiz Caro that the festive season will be a time of reflection and rejoicing for those in Santiago who love and trust Jesus. Give thanks with Adrian & Anita Lovell for the school year for their children–especially for friendships formed and good progress in Spanish. Pray for a restful break for them over December–January.

Pray that the message of Jesus would continue to work in the hearts of those who attended. Pray with Peter & Terry Blowes that students will continue to be able to read the Bible on campus. Thank God with Pedro & Joy Oliveira Woolmer for three groups of MOCLAM students finishing their subjects this semester. Pray for them as they prepare to take their exams. Give thanks with Nick & Kysha Davies for time to rest and catch up on work. Pray with Co-Mission Partners Bryan & Sarah Haro Leon that the women Sarah meets with will encounter Jesus and find answers in God’s Word.
