David is the Senior Minister at Cambridge Park Anglican Church in Sydney’s West.

He grew up in a missionary family before himself serving as a CMS missionary in Slovenia from 1999 to 2007. He has been involved with ongoing personal prayer support of numerous CMS missionaries across Europe, Africa and Latin America for several years in addition to serving on General Committee, Parish Councils,  Constitution Review Sub-Committee and as School P&C President and Chair of a Committee to Constitute and Register New Churches in Slovenia.

He has been a deeply involved and knowledgeable member of the CMS NSW & ACT General Committee since 2009.

David brings a deep knowledge of CMS, theological insight and governance experience to his role as Chair and values your prayers as he commences his term as Chair.

John has had a long association with CMS, including 10 years serving as a CMS missionary in Spain. John was the senior minister of a local Anglican church in Valencia where he developed a pattern of expository preaching and established several new ministries including Sunday school, a holiday children’s program, midweek Bible study groups and ongoing leadership training. God blessed these ministries and the church grew from a handful of people into a vibrant church community. John also enjoyed many opportunities to work with university students in Valencia, introducing them to Jesus and training them in leadership.

In his last few years in Valencia, John had an instrumental role in establishing MOCLAM Spain as a provider of accessible high quality theological education throughout Spain. As Regional Director, John helped this ministry to grow significantly and become a focus for future gospel ministry in Spain through CMS.

John is married to Jodi and they have six children, two of whom were born during their time in Spain.

Before retirement, Ian spent 31 years teaching and researching in the discipline of Biochemistry at the University of New South Wales, with extensive experience in undergraduate and post-graduate student supervision, academic counselling, and policy planning and implementation. He spent the final five of those years as Associate Dean of Science.

Ian became a Christian in his first year of high school and with that came his first exposure to CMS through the missionaries linked to his original church, St John’s Sutherland. Ian and his wife Lyn have been active members of St Aidan’s, Hurstville Grove for 40 years, and Ian has served the church family in a variety of roles including Bible study leader, Warden, Parish Councillor and Synod representative.

Since retirement, Ian has been a member of the NSW & ACT Branch Candidates Committee and General Committee. Ian and Lyn have enjoyed their regular attendance at Summer School since the early 1990s.

After working in various accounting and finance roles in industry and the profession, Brett had an academic career teaching in TAFE and University for almost 30 years. He retired as Senior Lecturer in Accounting at Western Sydney University in 2016.

Brett answered Christ’s call of salvation at the Billy Graham Crusade in Sydney in 1979. He has past experience serving on boards of Christian organisations and in various leadership roles in parish administration and discipleship. He has been married to Alison for over 40 years and has two daughters and six grandchildren. He attends Rouse Hill Anglican Church.

Mandy is the Director of Membership at Christ Church Gladesville, where she has been part of the staff team since January 2019. Prior to studying at Moore Theological College, she worked as an Associate Tax Counsel at the ATO in Canberra, and was also involved in legislative design and development.

Mandy came to know Jesus through the SUFM team at Easts Beach Kiama. She has been involved with CMS since her time as a young adult at St Matt’s Wanniassa, attending local ACT missionary sessions and becoming a prayer supporter. She had often heard of “Summer School at Katoomba” but been unable to attend as it clashed with serving on Beach Mission. After her first CMS Summer School in January 2007 she has been a regular attender, having caught the vision for a world that knows Jesus.

“The work of CMS in training, equipping and sending missionaries, and supporting and caring for them is something I’m passionate about. I’ve been privileged to be able to prayerfully and financially support friends, and new friends, who have headed out to serve our gracious God. I love being a part of this fellowship and I’m keen to use the gifts I’ve been given for the benefit of CMS.”

Lynn and her husband, Roger, served as missionaries in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 2010-2019. During that time, Lynn was the Country Director of Hope for Justice (formerly Retrak), an international, anti-slavery non-government organization. Under Lynn’s leadership the work with vulnerable children increased significantly with a focus on strategies to prevent children being trafficked from their families to the capital city and beyond. Lynn oversaw the organisational and financial growth, quality service delivery, staff engagement and support and governance. Lynn was also involved in ministry at St Matthew’s Anglican Church in Addis Ababa, where Roger served as pastor.

Since returning to Australia, Lynn established Hope for Justice in Australia including registration with the ACNC and application for DGR status. She is now working with Anglicare in the Foster Care team. Lynn is an active member of St Anne’s Strathfield, a diverse, multi-cultural church.

Alan has served as an Assistant Pastor at Hurstville Anglican Church since 2017, where he oversees Mission, English and Youth ministries. He also occasionally assists with ministry amongst Chinese speaking congregations.

Alan previously served as a CMS missionary volunteer from December 2005 to January 2006. He and his family have been regular attendees at CMS Summer School and they continue to partner with CMS missionaries to see a world that knows Jesus.

He was a Medical Officer from 2008 to 2009 before serving amongst international and local students at UNSW in a ministry context from 2010 to 2011. He has also served on the board of Hurstville Christian Education since January 2018.

Alan is passionate about global mission through CMS. He is a member of the CMS NSW & ACT General Committee and desires to use his gifts to work towards a world that knows Jesus.

Kester is a secondary school mathematics teacher who has served as the Director of Studies at Barker College (2015-2022), and the Deputy Principal at St Luke’s Grammar School (2023-present). He has experience in educational leadership and management, as well as compliance, child protection and risk management.

Kester attends Gordon Baptist Church with his wife and two young children. GBC is an intercultural church with services in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, and Kester has served as a director (2015-2021) and Chair (2019-2021) of the Diaconate Board overseeing governance, strategy and finance. He is passionate about global mission through CMS, his father having grown in the faith through CMS mission work in Malaysia in the 1960s. Kester also served on the CMS Summer School music team from 2011-2020.

David is the Senior Minister at All Souls Anglican Church Leichhardt and St Marks Anglican Church Sadleir. He has been involved in overseas church planting in Kenya as well as overseeing church plants in Broome WA and Sadleir NSW.

David previously served in evangelism and discipleship amongst the urban poor in Nairobi from 1989 to 1994. He was involved in a collaborative partnership to reach an unreached people group from 1992 to 1994 whilst also serving as a Director of Theological Education by Extension. He has served as an Associate Minister at All Saints Anglican Church in Jakarta, Rector at Broome Anglican Church and more recently as a PTC Course Teacher in Congo.

He has been a member of Synod working groups on domestic violence, and development of disadvantaged parishes. He also served as a member of the Bush Church Aid Executive and Mission and Strategy Committee. He is also Chair of the CMS Branch Candidates Committee, a role which he has held since November 2021.

David combines his social work training with mission strategy to serve the Lord across multiple contexts and desires to continue working with CMS to see a world that knows Jesus.

Tony grew up in Sri Lanka and West Africa, moving to Australia in 1972. He came to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ whilst at university in the 1970s. He has been married to Amanda for over 40 years, with three adult children and four granddaughters.

Tony is an active member at Naremburn Cammeray Anglican Church and has been a passionate supporter of CMS and a regular attendee at CMS Summer School for many years. He serves on the CMS NSW & ACT General Committee and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, with a Certificate in Corporate Governance of Not-for-Profit Organisations. His background is in civil engineering.

Kathryn has been a supporter of CMS since her marriage to Mark in 1991. After spending three years in Oxford in the UK, they returned in 1997 and have ever since been regular attenders at the CMS NSW & ACT Summer School.

Kathryn and Mark have four gorgeous girls – Elizabeth, Anna, Rachel and Mary. Having worked for 17 years as a chartered accountant, Kathryn has been a full time mum since Anna was born in 2001. As well as caring for her family and partnering with Mark in his work of training men and women at Moore College to proclaim the gospel of Christ, Kathryn sits on a number of diocesan committees, and is an active member of St Andrew’s Cathedral, Sydney.
