Cost: $10 concession and $15 standard (includes a light supper)
Come together to hear from God’s word, pray for global mission, and consider the way God is working to the ends of the earth. Over supper, mingle with missionaries on home assignment and hear more about their work to see a world that knows Jesus.
What will the night involve?
Mission Up Close Live will be packed full of ways to be encouraged and emboldened in your mission partnership, to see a world that knows Jesus.
- Our secure workers will share from God’s word through preaching and Bible storytelling.
- We will also have panel discussions with four of our workers about what God is doing in the Middle East.
- There will be time to pray and sing together, as well as an extended supper during which we can mingle with other CMS missionaries on home assignment.

Unfortunately, registration for Mission Up Close Live is now closed, and there will be no more opportunities to register for this event, including on the night.
Registration will be through our MyCMS portal, an online platform designed to keep your details in one place and allow easier registration for CMS events.
Simply log in or create a new MyCMS account and select MUC LIVE 2024 as the event you’d like to register for. For the best experience, we recommend registering on a desktop computer. If you need help creating your MyCMS account, head here for more information.
Please note that places are limited, and registration will close when capacity is reached. For security purposes, there will be no admittance on the night without a ticket, and the content will not be recorded.

Where can I park?
There will be no parking on site, and limited street parking nearby. There is plenty of parking nearby in the Top Ryde City Shopping Centre, which is no charge after 6pm. If you arrive before 6pm, the first 3 hours of parking will be no charge.
What about dinner?
There are many restaurants nearby, with cuisines ranging from Lebanese to Greek to Persian to Japanese – something for everyone! Why not grab some friends and enjoy dinner together before the event?
Why the cost?
The small registration fee will support the event’s running costs as well as a light supper of tea, coffee and locally sourced baklava.
Can I bring extra people on the night?
Unfortunately, no. The space means numbers are limited, and no extra tickets will be available once registration closes. We are also limiting attendance to ticket holders for security reasons, so anyone who comes on the night without a ticket will be regretfully declined. Don’t miss out – register now!
Is this an evangelistic event?
This event is primarily a chance for members of the CMS fellowship to hear from some of our secure workers about how God is working in their locations. While we will hear about God bringing people to faith, this is not an outreach event for non-believers.
Will the event be recorded or live-streamed?
To allow our missionaries to speak openly about their work in the Middle East, this event will not be recorded or live-streamed. We also ask that you refrain from taking photographs or sharing details of our secure workers.
Will this be an annual event?
We hope so! CMS NSW & ACT helps to coordinate events in other regions, including Canberra, the Central Coast, the Southern Highlands, the Illawarra and the Central West. We are excited to launch a new event in the Sydney basin, for local supporters.
Will this event always be focused on the Middle East?
This year we have a Middle East focus as a number of our secure workers in that region are here on home assignment at the same time.
In future years, we intend for this event to continue to be a chance to hear from missionaries on home assignment, and expect the focus to shift by region, but remain on God’s mission to the ends of the earth.
