Growing ministry apprentices with a heart for global mission
CMS wants to help ministry apprentices and their trainers engage with global mission thinking.
Whether you are training with your church or university group, why not set aside time now to meet with like-minded trainees and grow your heart for cross-cultural mission?
Doing this with CMS means you will benefit from the wisdom of experienced missionaries as you grapple with mission thinking and hear stories from around the world.

At Mission Track you will engage with mission theory and practice in a series of training sessions run by current and former CMS missionaries. We are seeking to grow your confidence in gospel ministry in diverse cultural contexts, together with your self-awareness and cross-cultural understanding as you prayerfully consider your part in God’s global mission.
Mission Track is not a standalone apprenticeship. It’s designed to integrate with your existing ministry training by offering specialised global mission input.
The program includes:
We gather once a month between February and November, for two hours each session. The cost for the 2025 program is $600, which includes all training sessions, the two-day intensive, registration for Youth and Children’s programs, and a 50% discount off Summer School registration.
We meet in the morning to keep the rest of your day as free as possible for ministry. We share a themed breakfast based on who is visiting (baguettes, congee, masala tea, etc.). We have some structured teaching time in seminar format, the chance to ask questions of visitors, and time to pray for each other and for the world to know Jesus.
We’re excited to launch this intensive in 2025. It’s going to be a great time to work through topics on mission thinking, but it will especially be a chance to get away and learn about ourselves as encultured gospel workers. We understand, however, that not everyone is going to be able to attend given various ministry and personal commitments.
We’re only offering this program in-person. The unique offering of Mission Track is access to current and former CMS missionaries. We want you to get to know them, and the best way to do that is by being in the room with them.
Trainers are very welcome to participate in any of our training sessions. We want Mission Track to be integrated with the regular ministry training program, so we’d love trainers to reflect with apprentices on what they’ve been learning at CMS.
We want trainers to benefit from the support, expertise and resources of CMS, as we partner together to raise up and set apart cross-cultural workers for a world that knows Jesus.
