Accommodation Options for Summer School 2025

Planning your stay at Summer School? We’ve got a variety of accommodation options to suit every budget, group size, and preference. Whether you’re looking for something close to the action or a bit more secluded, there’s a perfect spot waiting for you.

CMS applies a large family discount of 5% for full-time families with three or more children.

If none of the on-site options are suitable for you, there are many alternatives in the local area for you to organise.

Tamborine Lodge

Best for: Large groups or families

Highlights

  • Capacity: Minimum 6, maximum 8 people per booking. 
  • Rooms: Includes two bedrooms, ensuite bathroom and lounge room with air conditioning. 
  • Proximity: 2-minute walk to the WEC dining room for meals and a 10-minute walk to the auditorium. 
  • Comfort: Ideal for families or groups wanting to stay together in a cozy, home-like setting. 

Panorama – FULLY BOOKED!

Best for: Those who like to be close to everything

Highlights

  • Proximity: The closest accommodation to the auditorium. 
  • Facilities: Shared bathrooms (no exclusive use) and a variety of room types to choose from (1-6 people). 
  • Accessibility: Perfect for individuals with limited mobility. 
  • Dining: Meals are lovingly prepared and served in the dining room. 

WEC – FULLY BOOKED!

Best for: Families or groups of friends seeking comfort but limited availability!

Highlights

  • Rooms: Ensuite included for added privacy and comfort (up to 6 people).
  • Proximity: 10-minute walk or 2-minute drive to the auditorium. 
  • Facilities: On-site dining room, outdoor play areas, and laundry facilities. 

TLC – reserved for a church group

Best for: Groups or individuals on a budget

Highlights

  • Rooms: Shared rooms and newly renovated bathrooms (5 or 6 people). 
  • Dining: Meals will be at a different dining room. 
  • Relaxation: Spacious communal lounge with stunning views, perfect for unwinding during free time. 
  • Flexibility: Ideal for mixed groups where some prefer cabin accommodation and others enjoy camping. 

Camp Tamborine

Best for: Budget-conscious families and groups

Highlights

  • Rooms: Shared rooms and bathrooms, family-friendly with options for 4 to 8 people.
  • Proximity: 10-minute walk to the auditorium.
  • Facilities: Pleasant outdoor deck, slightly more spacious rooms than WEC, and laundry facilities on site.
  • Dining: A caterer will be on site, and youth leaders will also dine here.
  • Community: Great for families with children who love outdoor play.

CMS Centre – YOUTH LEADERS ONLY

Best for: Youth leaders

Highlights

  • Units Available: Hurry, limited availability!
  • Proximity: Close to the auditorium, ideal for those who want to be near the heart of the camp.
  • Dining: Meals will be provided at a different accommodation site.
  • Amenities: On-site laundry facilities for your convenience.
  • Recent Renovations: Includes covered walkways and hang-out areas, basketball and handball court

Camping Options

Camping is budget friendly and a favourite option because of its close-knit community vibe. 

Group Bookings: If you’re planning to camp with a group, discuss your needs with Natalie Niethe by the end of September. To secure your spot, all group members must book and pay by 15 November, 2024. 

 

Camping Areas 

  • Unpowered Sites Near Youth Hut: 15 sites with potential access to power. 
  • Sites Behind Auditorium: 3 powered and 3 unpowered sites at the stage end. 

 

Unpowered Camping 

  • Best For: Adventurers at heart 
  • Facilities: Small camp kitchen and basic amenities. Come prepared! 

 

Powered Camping 

  • Best For: Those who value convenience 
  • Highlights: 35 sites available—these book up fast, so don’t delay!
