Important things to note
- Registration for our Youth and Children’s programs has closed. Any child not already registered in a program cannot be checked in or admitted to a program. Children are welcome to watch the main sessions with parents/carers in the Café Tent.
- Please arrive on time for drop-off (Check-In) and pick-up (Check-Out). This ensures the smooth running of our programs each day.
- Please do not send your child to the Youth and Children’s programs if they:
- are currently experiencing cold or flu symptoms;
- have experienced vomiting or diarrhoea in the past 24 hours.
- Please keep your phone on vibrate in case you need to be contacted during a session (especially for parents with children in Crèche and Preschool).
- Parents will be notified by SMS and email of any important changes to the Summer School Youth and Children’s Program.
- Children under eight years are not allowed in the Auditorium. The Café Tent is available to watch sessions with them instead.
- If your school-aged child becomes sick during their program, CMS will organise a shuttle to take you to your child at their program. Parents are asked to head to the information desk at the rear of the Auditorium where the team will arrange this.
Parking and transport
Please note that the KCC Oval is not being used for general delegate parking this year. Restricted on-site parking is dedicated for parents of children in Crèche and Preschool programs and for other essential volunteers. These delegates will receive separate instructions on how to gain access to this parking.
All other delegates are encouraged to use the complimentary Park ‘n’ Ride bus service. You can find information on this in your Early Bird Info Pack email (sent in early December) and on the Parking and Transport Summer School webpage.
If you have checked in your children at Katoomba High School or Katoomba Public School (as per the new process below), we encourage you to then head for the Park ’n’ Ride services at those locations to make your way to the KCC site in time for the morning sessions. Priority will be given to parents to park outside the schools.
Check-In and Check-Out for 2025
Your Check-In and Check-Out location will be determined by which program your YOUNGEST CHILD attends.
This location will be the same throughout Summer School and will be indicated by your family’s wristband colour, on your name tags and in your Personalised Transport and Check-In Plan (emailed to you shortly after this Info Pack). Please ensure your family wears their wristbands throughout the week to assist our teams in directing to buses.
